The terms
Returns policy
This is the policy in full. For the practical steps, see the returns page — this page is the terms those steps sit on.
Your legal right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. That period ends 14 days after the day you, or a carrier you named, take physical possession of the goods.
To cancel, tell us in a clear statement; see the contact page. That is enough. You do not have to use a particular form of words. To meet the deadline it is sufficient that you send the cancellation before the period expires.
After cancelling you must send the goods back without undue delay and within 14 days. We will reimburse all payments received, including the standard delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving the goods back or of your proof of sending them, whichever is earlier.
Our extended window
In addition to the statutory right above, Defected Clothing accepts returns for 30 days from delivery on unworn items in original condition with tags attached. This is a voluntary policy offered on top of your legal rights, and it does not reduce them.
Deductions
We may reduce a refund to reflect any handling of the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning — roughly, what you could have done in a shop. Trying a tee on is fine. Wearing it out is not.
Trader details
Defected Clothing has no published contact address yet, so there is currently no way to reach us in writing. Please do not place an order.
⚠ This page is not finished. UK law requires an online shop to publish the trader's identity and geographic address before an order is placed, and the following are not yet published here: business structure (company or sole trader), trading address, customer contact address, VAT registration status, returns address.
